Black Friday 2023 hasn’t officially kicked off yet, but it’s already time to start shopping. Expect big discounts on best-selling tech, appliances, home items and more.

The new Apple Watch 9 is on sale for a record-low price, offering advanced fitness tracking and smartwatch features. Plus, Kohl’s has solid kitchen gadget deals and beauty dupes that make perfect gifts for any occasion.

1. LG 55-inch 4K OLED Smart TV

Unleash the power of the cinema in your home with LG’s stunning OLED TV. Featuring Dolby Vision IQ, the picture changes to match content genre and lighting conditions, while Dolby Atmos delivers an immersive audio experience.

This year’s OLED55CX looks virtually identical to last year’s C9. However, the difference lies beneath the skin with LG’s fifth-generation Alpha 9 processor and improved self-lit pixels that can shine brighter and offer more vivid colors.

For gamers, the set features a new UI in Game Mode along with low input lag and support for FreeSync, G-SYNC, and VRR to keep you at the top of your game. This model also comes with LG’s smart TV interface, webOS 22, and supports streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and more.

2. Samsung 55-inch 4K OLED Smart TV

This 55-inch TV is the sweet spot for many buyers, offering a good balance of size and performance. While it’s not quite as bright as the flagship Samsung QN95B QLED TV, it still delivers stunning picture quality and has excellent gaming features.

With the Samsung Smart TV app, you can access a variety of streaming apps and games. This TV also supports Dolby Atmos and has six directional speakers that deliver impressive sound.

This TV uses the same image processing as the Sony A95K OLED, but it doesn’t have as much brightness. It does offer better tone mapping in HDR though, and it has lower input lag than the Sony model. This TV comes in a sleek Infinity One Design that’s beautiful anywhere you place it.

3. Sony 55-inch 4K OLED Smart TV

Sony skipped CES 2023 to announce their new lineup, and this model is the top of the line for those with the space for it. It’s the only OLED TV to offer a One Slate design that can be positioned in front of your wall for a flush look, and it supports Dolby Vision, HDR10 and HLG formats of HDR. The XR-A90K also includes Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR to help with upscaling and a Game Mode to help hardcore gamers.

The TV has a decent peak brightness that can handle brighter rooms, and its image processing is exceptional. Its TRILUMINOS Pro technology delivers details and color that look closer to real life. It also runs Google TV for a premium experience with lots of great streaming apps.

4. Samsung 65-inch 4K OLED Smart TV

The Samsung S95B OLED 4K Smart TV represents a significant step forward for jack-of-all-trades consumer electronics giant. It’s Samsung’s first OLED set to combine OLED with quantum dots, a technology that promises superior color and contrast in a single package.

The S95B delivers on that promise, though it lacks the absolute black levels of the best OLEDs. Nevertheless, the shimmering shadow play of Dune looks properly imposing, and the sprawling inky vistas of Batman look gorgeous.

Other key features include an immersive cinematic experience, motion Xcelerator Turbo+ to reduce lag and blur during sports and gaming, and Real Depth Enhancer to mimic how the human eye processes depth. And the S95B’s slim profile makes it a great option for wall mounting. It’s also rated for eye comfort with its built-in sunrise and sunset schedules and its ability to automatically dim the screen when you sleep.

5. Hisense 65-inch 4K OLED Smart TV

This Hisense TV features Quad Pixel HDR that gives it a better image than standard LED televisions. This allows the U7 to show a more accurate representation of real life colours, as well as more vibrant and detailed images. It also has Full Array Local Dimming which helps the TV reach 1000-nits of brightness and has a native contrast ratio of over 100,000-to-1.

Hisense’s Dual Cell technology aims to close the performance gap between OLED and LCD panels. It doesn’t quite achieve OLED-level blacks, but it comes very close.

The Hisense 65-inch 4K OLED Smart TV is a good choice for those who enjoy watching sports or movies. Its motion rate of 60Hz is fast enough to handle most games, while its auto low latency mode prevents stuttering and lag. It supports Dolby Atmos audio, eARC and WiSA.
